Specialized Sleep Diagnostics

Welcome to Specialized Sleep Diagnostics’ Sleep Center located at 8303 Sierra College Blvd, Suite 109B in Roseville, CA. We provide you with the best level of care and would like to clearly outline the services you will be receiving. All tests are by appointment only and our friendly staff will be able to assist you with scheduling an appointment. Specialized Sleep Diagnostics utilizes the latest technology when it comes to diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Our expert team of physicians and medical professionals are highly trained in using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.

Below are the types of sleep testing procedures that we perform at our Sleep Disorders Center. If you would like further information about your sleep study please refer to the In-Lab and At-Home tabs above. Please be sure to only review the section that is specific to the type of diagnostic testing that you will be receiving.


FOR ALL TESTS:  Please be sure to bring a valid form of I.D., such as a drivers license or passport, and all current insurance cards.


At Home Sleep Testing: (DUE TO THE COVID-19: ALL PATIENTS PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE 916-872-1426 WHEN YOU ARRIVE) An at-home sleep testing appointment is a brief 15 to 20 minute appointment with a registered technician. During your appointment the technician will briefly review your sleep concerns, give you an in depth explanation of the testing device, and will be able to answer any and all questions you have. Typically, testing equipment is picked up during an in office appointment and is returned to the office the following day. However, the time frame is subject to change depending upon holidays and patient needs. If you need accommodations, be sure to mention this when scheduling your appointment. In Lab Sleep Testing: A few weeks before your in lab study, you will be receiving a patient packet in the mail. In this packet, you will find our location, your appointment time, and intake forms for you to bring with you to your appointment. These forms will help us become oriented with any medical, or other conditions, that may be impacting your sleep.

You are scheduled to arrive at our sleep lab at either 8:00pm or 9:00pm. Please do not arrive any earlier than your scheduled appointment. If you are going to be arriving late, be sure to call us. Any patients arriving more than 30 minutes past their scheduled appointment time may need to be rescheduled.

When you arrive at the sleep lab, one of our registered technologists will help you check in and allow you time to change into your sleepwear and use the restroom. Once you are ready the technologist will being setting you up for your study. The process of applying the leads will take about 45 minutes then you are welcome to climb into bed and get ready to sleep.

Once you fall asleep you will be continually monitored by one of registered technologists; who will work diligently to assure that your diagnostic testing results are accurate and meet all the requests of your referring physician. After the testing is complete your technologists will wake you and remove all of testing equipment. You will be given ample time to get dressed and use the restroom before the conclusion of you stay at our facility.

Due to the specialty of sleep testing we ask that you respect your appointment time. Specialized Sleep strives to offer our patients appointments in a timely fashion and when patients fail to show for their scheduled times, it is a missed opportunity to do so for another patient. Your sleep test appointment requires us to reserve your room and the time of night technicians. If you need to cancel your appointment, please give an adequate, 3 business days (72 hours) notice. If you fail to notify us within 72 hours of your appointment, you may be subjected to a $100 cancellation fee.

Insurance: Our expert billing department works to ensure that your insurance is aware and has authorized your procedure before you are contacted. Authorizations and approvals must be processed before we schedule an appointment with you. Your insurance carrier will be billed for your appointment; however, any charges not covered by insurance; co-pays, deductibles, or any remaining balances, will be your financial responsibility.
